About Our College


      Sri Sarada Niketan College for Women, Thenjeyarambadi, Amaravathipudur, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District, Tamilnadu – 630 301, is situated on the Karaikudi-Rameswaram Highways, 10 Kilometers away from Karaikudi.
      The College was established in 1997, under affiliation with the Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. From 2003-04, the College stands affiliated to the Alagappa University, Karaikudi when the later became an affiliating-type University.
      The College owes its existence to His Holiness Swami Atmananda who took efforts to establish the College. By nature, Swami Atmananda is used to commit him to propagate education to the masses. He has established educational institutions in Karur, Coimbatore and Salem, with service as the basic motto.
      Sri Sarada Niketan College for Women College is situated in an ever green serene environment of lush Coconut Grove of 34 acre expanse. Besides on-looking the Rameswaram Highways, on the other side the Kallupatti-Aravayal Panchayat Road provides easy reach to the College.
      Sri Sarada Devi Temple is inside the College. The temple is a beautiful, serene and blissful with pooja carried out regularly 6 times a day. The Students and Staff Members are blessed as they do bhajans on Ramakrishna and Sarada Devi, besides other Gods. Guests to the campus are wonder-struck on the very sight the greens occasionally visited by peacocks. The temple further adds to their eye-brow raising divine experience. Besides this temple, there is another small shrine devoted to Lord Ganesa along with Lord Hanuman. Depictions of sayings of Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Sarada Devi add to the already overflowing divinity.
      Inside there is also Sri Sarada Sevashram which runs a home for the ‘aged and destitute women’ and children.
      MOTTO: IDEAL NATION WITH IDEAL STUDENTS.  For total development of any nation harmonious development of HAND, HEART AND HEAD of the students and faculty members is needed. That kind of holistic development is the motto of the College.
