Placement in Campus Interviews
We are extremely happy and proud that our students got placement in Campus Interviews.
Out of 600 participated from various affiliated colleges in the job fair conducted by Alagappa University during 2007, six students got placement. We are very proud to note that out of six, three are our students who got placement in Hewlett Packard (HP) company.
Five of our students got placement in ‘Infosys Company’ and a student got placement in ‘TCS company’ during 2009.
Out of two thousand students participated from various affiliated colleges, two of our students got placement in Cybernet Slash Support Company during 2010.
International Seminars
v Women’s Empowerment
International Seminar on Women’s empowerment was organized on 1st April 2009. Dr.(Ms)Kathleen Rosemieze (MCBS, Muscat & Consultant in USA) presided over the function. Prof.S.K.Pemmaraju,MCBS, (Affiliated to University of Missouri St Louis, USA) Muscat, Shri.Sleh A.Alkindy (HR, Director, MCBS, Muscat) and Dr.Bernard Emile La Berge (Dean, MCBS, Muscat) delivered Special Addresses. Students Interacted.
v International Bliss Meet 2009
One Day International Seminar on Spirituality, ‘International Bliss Meet’ was organised in our College on 18th August 2009. The Bliss Meet was presided over by Dr.M.Selvam, Dean (Research) & syndicate Member, Alagappa University. Dr.V.Balachandran, Director, DDE, Alagappa University Inaugurated the Seminar.
A Special address was delivered on the topic ‘Religion is Realisation’ by Holy Master Lai, Bharati Kwan TAO Trust, Singapore.
Dr.Lin Yan Guan Ronald, Research Scientist, Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, Singapore delivered the special address on ‘Spirituality for Universal Peace’. Ms.Yeo Wei Lai, TAO Trust, Singapore, Ms.Jan Chew Peng, Singapore, Mr.Chee Chee Kiat, Singapore, Ms.Yu Poi Cheng, Singapore offered Felicitations.
v International Bliss Meet - 2010
International BLISS (Benign Love Infinite Spiritual Service) Meet -2011 was held on 9th September 2010.
v META Trends in Global Business
An International Seminar on META (Manufacturing Entrepreneurship Trade Administration) Trends in Global Business was held on 22nd and 23rd March 2011. Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal presided. Dr.Lin Yan Guan Ronold, Research Scientist, Singapore inaugurated. Dr.M.Selvam, Dean Faculty of Management Alagappa University delivered keynote address. Dr.V.Balachandran, Director, DDE, Alagappa University and Mr.Jasmond NG, General Manager, Singapore delivered special address.
Paper presentation
Dr.S.SelvaRani, Principal and Dr.A.Mallika, Lecturer, Dept. of Commerce presented papers in the International Seminar ‘GEAR UP 2 UP’ conducted by School of Management, Alagappa University on 1st April 2009.
Dr.S.Selva Rani, Principal presented paper on the topic “Energy Resources in TamilNadu” in the 9th Seminar of Tamil Science Forum on 12th September 2009 which was organized by Alagappa University and got the best presenter award. Mrs.G.Geetha and Mrs.K.Subatharani, Lecturers in Tamil, also presented papers in the Seminar.
Magazine
Every year we are releasing our Annual Volume of BLISS BLOOM, a house magazine of our esteemed institution. The ‘BLISS BLOOM’ carries our accomplishment, thoughts and notes of our actions.
Awards
Our students participated in inter-collegiate and inter- university cultural competitions and obtained champion awards and prizes.
Best NSS Volunteers Award for the year 2004- 2005 by Alagappa University was awarded to Miss.V.Vardhini III BBA.
Our students had the prestige of wining the overall champion Award in UTSAV – 2006, an Inter colleges/University Departments cultural competitions which was conducted by Alagappa University on 6.03.2006. In an Inter-collegiate Youth Festival cultural competition conducted among all the affiliated colleges of Alagappa University on 24.03.2006, our students won the
Second Champion Award.’ Also our Students won the Champion Award in
UTSAV - 2007, an Inter colleges/ University Departments cultural competition which was conducted by Alagappa University on 31.03.2007. Our students have given cultural performances in Alagappa University during different national/ international events. They have also exhibited sterling talents in inter-collegiate elocution and other competitions.
Every year we are conducting Blood Donation Camps in our college. To appreciate for the better contribution to Voluntary blood donation in the academic year 2004-2005, an award was given to our college by the Blood Donar’s Club, Madurai Medical College, Madurai on 01.10.2005.
